California 2018 Fall Virtual Teaching Careers Fair
The Virtual Fair will take place on November 27-30, 2018, and will run all 4 days from 3:00pm - 7:00pm, PST. Registration closes November 23, 2018.
Teacher candidates can join the event from a laptop, tablet, or mobile device and connect with teacher preparation representatives and/or school district administrators to chat or simply browse. No traveling required!
The mission of the Center is to elevate the teaching profession through attracting new and existing talent to impact teaching and learning in California’s 21st Century classrooms. Please visit us at californiateach.org.

2018 STEM Teacher Career Fair

The fair is by invitation only and consists of pre-scheduled interviews.
Those eligible to attend must be certified or willing to complete certification requirements and enroll in a certification program in any STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math). GCPS will be looking to fill open positions for Spring 2019 and the 2019-2020 school year.
Interested in joining our team? Please complete the following steps:
- Complete a GCPS online application and have 2 supervisory references submitted along with a resume, copy of official college transcripts, and any GACE Assessments completed thus far. If you are already certified, please upload a copy of your teaching certificate.
- If you are student teaching, your 2 references must be from your Cooperating Teacher and a University Supervisor.
- If you are a current student in a non-education field, your 2 references should be from a university supervisor or work/volunteer experience supervisor.
- If you are a current teacher, your 2 references must be from your current Principal and another current supervisor.
- If you are changing careers, your 2 references must be from current supervisors.

- Registration will close end of day on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
Those eligible to attend must be certified or seeking certification in any STEM field. Non-certified candidates are required to have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience working in a STEM field,
- A degree in a STEM related field,
- Currently student teaching in a STEM field and will hold certification upon graduation,
- A certified teacher (in or out of state) in a STEM field,

Our guest speaker, Whitney Prescott, joined UGA’s Career Center staff in December 2013 as the College of Education Career Consultant. She is a graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, where she earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business degrees. While at Murray State, Whitney served as both a graduate assistant and a full-time Career Counselor in the Career Services Office. In addition, she gained experience from an employer perspective as she also worked in the Office of Human Resources. In May 2015, Whitney transitioned into her current role as Assistant Director of Social Media & Marketing and Career Consultant for the Terry College of Business, and later in 2018 to Associate Director of External Engagement and Communications.

AJC International is looking for a Product Quality Assurance Specialist!
In this role, you will be responsible for Quality Assurance processes with frozen food commodities including poultry, pork, beef, and vegetables sourced from and delivered to worldwide markets.
Scope of Responsibility:
- Responsible for audits of food plants (chicken, turkey, beef, pork, vegetables, etc.) located in the Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia to assure that product meets AJC’s and the customer’s quality standards.
- Identify problems with products and processes inside the plants and correlate them with issues happening in the production, freezing, storage environment or during transportation. (Litter management, ventilation, feeding, weather, processing, freezing, storage, transportation, etc.)
- Visit supplier plants and destination markets to look for business opportunities with new products.
- Develop new products, packaging, and labels for our different brands marketed, sold, and distributed through our different world-wide markets.
- Develop and update Quality Assurance specifications and programs with the goal of facilitating suppliers in their efforts to produce consistent product from day-to-day and plant-to-plant within their system.
- Understand country of origin and destination food legislation and compliance business issues and regulations.
- Work with client services to resolve claims issues.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Poultry Science, Agribusiness, or Food Science is required.
- Previous product procurement and international experience or exposure is a plus.
- Processing, production, or manufacturing industry experience is a must (Academic or previous career experience).
Language Requirements:
- Candidates must speak, read, and write English and Spanish fluently. Proficiency in a third language, especially Portuguese is preferred.
Travel Requirements:
- Domestic and international travel is required to audit suppliers and visit customers.

Raymond James Financial is hiring a Financial Advisor Trainee!
Through distance learning, apprenticeship and training at the firm’s international headquarters, the Advisor Mastery Program (AMP) offers a comprehensive education for the next generation of Raymond James Financial Advisors. The Production Associate will be responsible for assisting in all production phases of sports-oriented news magazine show. She/he will report to Segment Producer. The Production Associate on each story is responsible for helping the segment producer in most aspects of the production, including but not limited to, story research, logistical planning and preparation for field shoots, scheduling, sourcing of archival material, pre-interviewing, casting, logging of footage, shooting of supplemental footage if necessary, supervision of field shoots if necessary, and more.

- Some experience in TV pre- and post-production preferred.

- Prior experience pitching quality story ideas to producers.

She holds a Master of Science in Career Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from San Francisco State University. Kali is also a certified practitioner in the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and currently serves as President of the Georgia Career Development Association and is a Board Certified Coach.
