Nest News
Liberty High School 10/20/22
Eagles Kingdom,
Please read below for an important message from our attendance administrative assistants regarding attendance emails and more information on our new start and end times.
Due to the high volume of calls, there are times when we don’t receive your calls and/or voicemails concerning your children in a timely manner. To ensure more accurate and timely dismissal or absence reporting, please utilize our email at attendance.liberty@wsdr4.org. We appreciate your help and understanding regarding our phone system.
A reminder to students: When coming in late or leaving early, be sure to sign in/out through the main office.
Thank you,
Renee Church and Kim Maronic
Attendance Secretaries, LHS
Starting Nov. 2, Liberty's start and end times will change by 5 minutes to 7:15 a.m. / 2:15 p.m. Currently, the LHS starting and ending times are 7:20 a.m. / 2:20 p.m.
You may recall that LHS had this schedule a few years ago. Unfortunately, with Frontier Middle School not being on the same campus as LHS (like other WSD middle and high schools), the buses are physically unable to get to FMS on time with our current start times, which causes delays districtwide. This change comes in an ongoing effort to improve transportation within the WSD.
For our bus riders, transportation time changes will be emailed out on Oct. 26. Please keep an eye out for that information.
We greatly appreciate your flexibility as we work to meet the needs of all WSD students.

Viral Alert! LHS Chamber Choir
According to Mr. Datz, "The coolest part of going viral was that I turned it into a fundraising opportunity by selling the sheet music to my arrangement! I've now seen choirs from across the country (and beyond) sing my arrangement. And we raised well over $2000 to help pay for our Chamber Choir's trip to sing at Carnegie Hall in June! We had fun with our 15 minutes of fame and are laying low until our next big break."
Congratulations to our FAMOUS Chamber Choir!
