Captain's Chat & Incoming 6th Placement Test: Thursday afternoon is a BIG deal! We have incoming 6th graders taking a math placement test and Anzelc and Team doing a presentation with families in the amp!

Summer Session: Please collect Summer Session forms from your advisory students. Use the summer session doc to update whether your advisory students will be attending. RSVP’s are due by May 4th. If you have any questions, please ask Mike or Kelsey.
SBAC: Welcome to testing 7th and 8th grades! HAVE A GREAT WEEK supporting our kiddos in feeling good about showing what they know!
PARENTS & FAMILIES:
- SBAC Testing: SBAC is administered the next few weeks. Please make sure your student is well rested and on time for school. Testing dates: 6th grade students are DONE, 7th grade students April 23-27; 8th grade students April 16-27.
- Honor Roll and Reassessments: The end of the year is approaching fast! If your goal is to make it on Honor Roll you must have a 3 or 4 on all standards. The last day to do reassessments is 5/18.
- 18-19 School Year Calendar: View next year's academic calendar here https://natomasunified.org/np3m/about-us/calendar-academic-year/. We love that our families travel and we have a request: we ask that families plan vacations during designated breaks. Student attendance is very important.
- Dance Team Auditions: NP3 High is holding auditions for incoming 9th graders. This is your opportunity to be part of a National winning team, make great memories, and join a family. Auditions will be held on 4/23, 4/25, 4/26 & 4/27. Please see attached flyer for details.
- Student Government Packets Available: Calling all students interested in running for office! Student Government is looking for you! Running for an office position has pre-requisites - get your packet and begin the process! Please see Ms. Silas before school, at snack break, at lunch or after school to get one! All packets are due Mon 4/30.
- Outdoor Club Field Trip: Come hike in one of California's most scenic areas - Point Reyes National Seashore Sat 4/28 from 8am-4:30pm. The Outdoor Club will hike through a protected elk preserve overlooking the Pacific and the bay. They will end the day by relaxing on the beach! Let Ms. Marinkovich know if you are interested in attending.
- 6th Grade Science Camp: 6th grade students will be gone 4/30-5/2 at Alliance Redwood Science Camp. Big FUN is on the way!
- Q4 Fiesta Dance: This is the last dance of the school year! All students are invited to join us for a dance in the quad Fri 5/4 3:30-5:30. Tickets will be sold at lunch the week of the dance for $3 and will $5 at the door. Tacos will be sold: $7 for a taco plate; $8 for a taco plate & soda; $9 for a taco plate & horchata. This is going to be BIG FUN! Parents-students are expected to be picked up promptly at 5:30pm.
- Save the Date: We are excited to invite all of our families to Leadership Day! Save the date for 5/9 at 6pm.
- Popsicle Stand: It's getting hot outside! Popsicles are for sale on Thursdays after school in the quad to help raise money for our student sunshine action team and student government class.
