Friday Flyer
Second Grade
Dear Second Grade Parents,
Did you know that Smith Island cake became Maryland's state dessert in 2008? We sampled the cake this week and it was a hit with everyone, even with those who normally don't like cake!
The kids are working on finishing the rough drafts of their speeches. Once they are typed, we will send them home so that they can memorize and practice them at home. Please refrain from making any further changes, as we will edit the speeches with the children at school.
Besides State Hats Day on May 5, our last big class event is our annual field trip to the National Museum of the American Indian on May 16. We ask that each child brings an adult that day. We will promptly leave CHS at 8:45 am that day.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Emilia and Rachel
