Principal's Newsletter
From the Desk of Ms. Clark
May 14, 2021
Along with building a foundation of faith and life-long learning, one of the basic tenets for students at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School is being kind and Christ-like to others. These behaviors are discussed, talked about, and recognized throughout our school each and every day.
Today, our students in grades 3-8 participated in our virtual assembly with an award-winning storyteller and educator, Dr. David Gonzalez. This entertaining mix of world tales and personal stories addresses the universal experience of standing up for yourself in the face of adversity and bullying. Through fables, myths, and stories from his own life growing up in a rough neighborhood, Dr. Gonzalez offers insights and strategies for cultivating compassionate relationships and communities.
Let us remember, "If we teach Jesus' example of kindness, then our children will become more considerate of the presence of Christ in others.”
God's blessings,
Ms. Clark

Second and Third grade students may wear their First Holy Communion attire to school. Our 7th grade may wear their confirmation robes, and our 8th grade classes may wear their graduation robes. All other school students should be in their uniforms.
SKD Health and Safety Plan
I know there are many questions regarding schools and the new mask guidance. We remain committed to our Health and Safety Plan for the rest of this school year. All health and safety protocols are still in effect and will remain until the last day of school.
PDE, the Archdiocese, and the DOH have not updated any masks protocols for schools. All students, faculty, staff. parents, and visitors are required to wear a mask both inside and outside the school building during school hours.
Thank you for your support!
