Message from the Principal, Dr. Maguire
We are so excited to share that we will be hosting our first Credit for Life fair on October 22nd for juniors and seniors. If you have not heard of CFL before, take a moment to watch this video highlighting Falmouth High School's CFL Fair. We are currently looking for more volunteers in order to fully staff the event. Please see below. There is an info session for business and parent volunteers next week. Students will begin the preparation for CFL in an early October advisory.
Please make every effort to get to school on time! We have a sizable students per day who are tardy, which impacts academics, self-esteem, and habits for success. We will be addressing those who are chronic offenders, which includes meetings with administrators, detentions, potential loss of parking privileges, and family meetings to develop a plan to get to school on time. Please consider campus traffic when you plan your morning; plan ahead so they can arrive at school on time. If everyone waits until five minutes before school starts to arrive it creates heavy traffic and subsequently end up late to school. If you are having difficulty in this area, please reach out so we can support you!
Happy Fall and enjoy your weekend!
Your partner in education,
Dr. Maguire

What you need to know...
* The show is open to ALL SHS Students and Staff who want to display their talent. In the past, we have had lots of faculty that play an instrument, sing, dance, maybe even do bird calls, etc. The students would LOVE to have us in the show!

The link to the auditions sign-up is here.
* Rehearsal is Thursday, September 30th in the PAC. You will be notified by the 29th if you have made it to rehearsals.
* The show is Thursday, October 7 in the PAC @ 6:00 PM
* The cost to attend the show as an audience member is $5.00, to benefit the class of 2023.

PEAR Tip of the Week
Partnerships
This week, we're focusing on Active Engagement
As the school year gets under way and we adjust to new schedules it can sometimes be hard to maintain routines around exercise. It can be easy to get discouraged or give up, thinking, “I don’t have time to go to the gym, for a half hour run, for a day-long hiking trip etc.” However, even just a few minutes of movement can help you feel better. Try taking the approach of something is better than nothing and celebrate small wins. Taking 2 minutes to get up from the computer and stretch is a success! Going on a 15 minutes walk before starting the day is a success! Feeling good about these small victories helps us feel like it’s doable and we can start building in more opportunities to move.
