Dear EGHS Students and Families,

Welcome to our monthly newsletter, Emily's Updates! Here you will find the latest information on school events, celebrations of students and staff, contact information and much more.

PSAT, SAT & Accuplacer Testing

On April 13th, we will be hosting PSAT, SAT and Accuplacer testing at our main campus (1860 Lincoln St.). Please show up at 8:30am so you are in your seat and ready for a 9:00am start time. We will dismiss right after testing!

Vaccine Information for Students

Denver Health will be hosting several weekend COVID vaccination events for students starting next weekend! There will be six events located at several of our School-Based Health Center locations. The current schedule is:

  • Evie: Saturday, April 17 (second dose on May 8)
  • Lincoln: Sunday, April 18 (second dose on May 9)
  • South: Saturday, April 24 (second dose on May 15)
  • Manual: Sunday, April 25 (second dose on May 16)
  • North: Saturday, May 1 (second dose on May 22)
  • East: Sunday, May 2 (second dose on May 23)

Students should be receiving an email directly from Denver Health about how to sign up for a vaccine. They can also call the main line for School-Based Health Centers at 303-602-8958. For more information about vaccine distribution for people ages 16+ in Colorado, click here.

National Day of Silence - April 23rd

This is a student-led national event where folks take a vow of silence to highlight the silencing effects of discrimination and harassment against LGBTQ young people at school. DPS is honoring this event in many ways throughout that week, to learn more click here.

Emily Griffith High School

Emily Griffith High School is an Intensive Pathways high school in Denver Public Schools that supports 17-21 year olds in completing their high school diploma or GED.
