Harvest of Love Food Drive
We have begun our annual Harvest of Love Food Drive in partnership with Care & Share! This food drive helps the people in need all around Southern Colorado as well as some of the families in need right here at Henry!
To keep up the excitement we have THEMED DAYS for each day of the food drive*! A calendar of all of the themed days was sent home with students last in October but it you may click on THIS file link to view it in both english & spanish.
Please note that students DO NOT have to participate in the themed days in order to donate! It is just for fun and donating to the less fortunate is a great way to help out our community!
Collections began on Monday October 29th and will end on November 15th.
The students are engaging in a fun and friendly competition for the food drive. Whichever class donates the MOST items will win a PIZZA PARTY!
Thank you all in advance! Sharing is Caring!
*Monetary donations are also accepted. Please make checks payable to Care & Share.

DID YOU KNOW?
Studies show that students that miss 10 or more days of school per year are 20% more likely to NOT graduate from high school and 25% less likely to NOT enroll in college?
We do understand that sometimes kids get sick and are not well enough to come to school. If your child is too sick to attend school, please remember to call the Henry Attendance Line at 719-328-7212 to excuse your child. Please DO NOT call the main office number to excuse you child. You can call the attendance line 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Also please be aware that all absences of 3 or more days will require a doctor's note to excuse.
You only have 48 hours to report a student absence. Any absence that is not called in after this time frame will remain unexcused on the student's permanent record.
