SMART CLUB’S 3-MIDDLE SCHOOL VIRTUAL MEETING~ 4/15/21

Hey Falcons! Join us for our next, 3-Middle School Virtual SMART Club meeting!! Your Middle School SMART Clubs provide activities and information that promote staying drug, alcohol and tobacco free. Join us for fun, prizes and a super guest speaker on Thursday, April 15th from 2:30-3:00PM. Our speaker, from Rediscover, will interact with us on the topic of suicide prevention, identification of signs of suicide ideation and what to do if you or a friend is in crisis. All LSR7 middle schoolers are welcome (you don't need to be a member), so this is a great way to meet new people, learn something new, and have fun at the same time!!!
Join us by either emailing Ms. Lange at renee.lange@lsr7.net or by letting your Homeroom teacher know that you're interested and we'll get you the Google Meet code to join.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD WANTS 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS!
Where: Main Event, Independence, MO
When: April 13th, from 6:30-8:00pm
Who: This event is open to all LSR7 students currently in 7th thru 12th grade.***
Cost: FREE
The purpose of YAB is to engage Lee’s Summit students (8th thru 12th grade) in advocacy and leadership activities which educate the community about youth health and safety in Lee’s Summit. Youth Advisory Board members are passionate about preventing drug and alcohol usage in their peers, as well as promoting positive mental health. The Youth Advisory Board meets in the evenings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Students may also be presented with an opportunity to represent their peers at monthly community-level committee meetings.
Students should RSVP by April 9th (see button below)!

Lee's Summit West Air Force JROTC Booster Club
Are you a upcoming freshman parent whose student is enrolling in ASL1 (Aerospace Science and Leadership 1.) The Lee’s Summit West AFJROTC Booster Club is looking for volunteers to serve on our 2021-2022 Board. We are looking for up to 6 individuals who are interested in making a difference in the cadet program. Board members are required to attend our monthly meetings, quarterly parent meetings and help with responsibilities that are needed throughout the year. Please send an email to the current President Carolyn Mommens @ clmommens76@hotmail.com with the role you would like to perform.
Possible Roles would be President, Vice President, Treasurer, Communications, Fundraising, and Secretary. All roles will be available as we are not sure who wants/is available to return for next years board. Submissions are due by 4/15/2021 and elections will take place prior to 5/3/2021
