**Attention Parents-- Due to end of year school activities, the last day for parent lunch visits for the school year was Thursday, May 12th. Thank you for your understanding.

Menu for Field Day will be sack lunches and the choice of turkey and cheese sandwich or PB&J; each will include milk, veggie pack and fruit. Students will order lunch as they normally do. If there is a rain delay, Tuesday and Wednesday lunches will be switched.

Salads and Pizza Packs will not be offered on Wednesday the 25th and Thursday the 26th.

Vegetable items will vary for the week of May 23rd.

Breakfast items may vary on what the menu is indicated for each day.

Please make sure your child has money in their lunch account. Students with a negative balance will receive a debit lunch (PB&J). Negative balances must be paid by May 26th.

Outstanding negative balances will be referred to collections.

4th Grade Recognition Program - May 26th

All 4th grade families are invited to attend HPE's annual Fourth Grade Recognition Program. We will recognize all of the hard work, achievements and accomplishments of this year's class. Thursday, May 26th, 9:15 am - 10:30 am, HPE Gymnasium. Please enter through the gym doors (HPE door #3) and have a seat in the bleachers.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2016-2017 School Year

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting enrollments for new students online. If you have a child that will be in kindergarten next year, or attending HSE schools in another grade level you may begin filling out the enrollment forms online. *The state cut-off for Kindergarten enrollment is August 1st. HSE Schools have an early entrance period for Kindergarten from August 1st to September 1st. We are unable to accept any early Kindergarten enrollments after September 1st.

Attendance Line Voicemail

If your child will be absent from school, please call the HPE Attendance Line by 9:00 a.m. at 915-4210. If you know in advance that your child will be absent, you may call the attendance line's voicemail anytime and leave a message. If you know your student will be absent for more than two school days for any reason other than illness, we ask that you complete a Prearranged Absence Form (available in the HPE office) at leas one week prior to the absence.

Student attendance at HPE is vitally important. Please make every attempt possible to plan appointments and vacations outside of school hours. Regular attendance improves student performance and is expected as an integral part of our state mandated School Improvement Plan.

Sign In Procedures

As a reminder, the sign in procedure at Harrison Parkway includes signing your child in or out using a computer. If you are signing your child out of school, please have your driver's license with you, as you will need it to complete the sign-out process.

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Students are to be dropped off and picked up at the front of the drive by the school's front doors. Please have your child exit from the passenger side of all vehicles. Students should stay in their seatbelts/safety seats until your vehicle has come to a complete stop and your child is ready to get out of the car. Please only dismiss and receive your child at the front of the school. Do not release students from the back of the line so they mush walk past other cars releasing children. It is imperative that cars remain in a single line along the curb. Please do not attempt to pass cars releasing students as this creates an unsafe situation for our children. Please use extreme caution in our parking lot and drive in the morning and afternoon, as both are high-traffic times. Thank you for your part in keeping our children safe.

Lost & Found

Please be sure to check the Lost & Found located outside of the Music Room for any lost items. At the end of the school year, we will be donating any leftover items to charities that serve people in need. Thank you!

It's hard to believe that the end of school is right around the corner! May is such a busy month at HSE schools, but it is also the perfect time to recognize a special teacher or staff member that has made a difference for your child. Sand Creek Intermediate PTO

Attention 4th Grade Families -- Sand Creek Intermediate is seeking to fill two board positions for the 2016-2017 school year. We are looking for a Treasurer and a Vice President. There are also several committees in need of chairs or co-chairs including Fall Fundraiser, Spirit Wear, Spring Fest, Sixth Grade Blast, Movie Nights, Spirit Night, Concessions, and Restaurant Nights. Fishers YMCA Teen Program


(Ages 11-13)

This nationally-recognized instructional program is medically accurate, hands-on, and teaches boys and girls how to handle emergencies such as injury management and choking rescue while caring for children. Learn the basics of childcare through games, activities and role play. Course includes infant CPR as well as a kit with a manual, bag, etc. Please bring a sack lunch!

Fishers Parks & Rec. Celebrates Fathers with Special Program

Let’s face it, finding a gift for the world’s best dad, or father figure, can be really difficult! Instead of buying another neck tie, consider creating a gift he’ll cherish for years to come. Join Fishers Parks & Recreation for Father’s Day Pottery on Saturday, June 11 from 1 to 2 p.m. During this program, your child ages 2 through 10 can turn their hand into a paint brush as they create the perfect hand-print coffee mug!

All supplies are provided during this program and finished mugs will be available a week after the program, just in time to be wrapped and delivered. After children have the opportunity to create their mug, the entire group will enjoy reading, “Daddy’s Are For Catching Fireflies.” Father’s Day Pottery costs $15 for residents and $23 for nonresidents, and registration can be completed online, today!

Nickel Plate District Transforms into Outdoor Theater for #FishersMovies

Calling all residents, #FishersMovies return to the Nickel Plate District amphitheater this spring and offer the perfect Friday night out for families of all ages. Movies take place weekly and begin at dusk. This season, Fishers Parks & Recreation has secured an awesome movie line-up that features:

  • Pan - May 20
  • Inside Out - May 27

Movies are free to attend and families are encouraged to pack a sweatshirt, roll out a blanket and stop by concessions to purchase a few movies snacks. The City of Fishers G.I.V.E. Committee will work concessions, weekly to ensure you have something sweet and salty to enjoy during the show. Each movie is presented in closed captioning, and movies have different ratings. Parents, we encourage you to check out the movie beforehand to ensure it’s appropriate for your family.

Fall 2016 Open Registration

for football, cheerleading, soccer, girls volleyball, fall baseball, cross country and boys and girls winter basketball will begin on May 1 and continue through May 31 (basketball registration remains open through August 31). Registration forms will be available on the S.P.O.R.T.S. website, at the S.P.OR.T.S. office, at all HSE schools and the Fishers Library.

Parents may also register online and can pay online with a credit card or can print the registration form and submit it to the S.P.O.R.T.S. office with cash or check payment.

Credit cards are not accepted in the office.

Fishers-HSE Cheerleading

registration is taking place during the month of May. Late registration will be available beginning June 1 with a $10 late fee for a limited time. Due to the discontinuation of the current uniform, every cheerleader must attend one of the offered uniform fittings.

There is one final fitting on Tuesday, June 7 in the Community Room at Billericay Park from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Swim Lessons at Fishers High School

Sign up Now for June Lessons. Registration for Summer One June swim lesson session is now available. Registration for Summer One will be available until Sunday June 12th. To register log into Fasttigers.com and click on the swim lesson tab on the left side of the page. Summer One begins Monday, June 13th and Tuesday, June 14th. Summer Two lessons will begin July 11th. Registration for July lessons begins June 15th.

Tigers Progressive Swim Lesson Information

Welcome to the FAST Tigers Progressive Swim program. Lessons are for thirty minutes twice a week for three weeks Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Swim level determination and payment must be completed at the time of registration. To register go to www.fasttigers.com and click on the swim lesson tab. Popular Summer Reading Program Returns To Library

From June 1 through July 31, the popular Summer Reading Program will return to the Hamilton East Public Library. Each year, thousands of readers - infants, youth, teens and adults - participate in this special program. Prizes are awarded to participants who complete the requirements for their specific age category and may include coupons to area restaurants or attractions, gift cards, books and more. Beginning May 1, readers of all ages can register online at hepl.lib.in.us or by visiting the Noblesville Library or Fishers Library! Then on June 1, it’s time to start logging the number of pages you’ve read!

Highlighting this year’s Summer under the Stars – Celebrating 200 Summers in Indiana theme, the library has planned numerous programs and adventures. Start exploring the rich history of your community through a countywide passport program developed by the five library systems across the county and Hamilton Tourism. Learn something new and collect a stamp for each location you visit.

At both the Fishers Library and Noblesville Libraries, the entire family can enjoy a wide variety of programs, many highlighting all the things that make Indiana special – the state fair, monarch butterflies, birds, gardens, camp outs, and more! Professor Steve will amuse and delight on June 9 at the Noblesville Library as he presents the Science of Basketball. Learn more about Hoosier critters as Animali’s Indiana Animals brings a red-tailed hawk, opossum, raccoon, skunk and map turtle for you to experience at the Fishers Library on June 9 and then the Noblesville Library on July 28. On July 29, you won’t want to miss Summer Reading Program finale events at both library buildings.

State Park Passes Now Available for Loan from the Library

With temperatures finally on the rise, thoughts are turning to the great outdoors and exploring all that Indiana has to offer. In honor of the state’s bicentennial, the Indiana State Library has now provided each library with a state park pass for loan to library cardholders.

When you are ready to hit the trail, simply stop by the Adult Services desk at either the Fishers or Noblesville Library and check for availability. Due to high demand, the passes will be available on a first come, first served basis, with no holds or renewals available. Passes can be checked out for up to 7 days.

Like other library materials, if passes are returned after the due date, late fees will apply. If passes are lost, a full replacement cost will be assessed. For further information, check out the library’s website at www.hepl.lib.in.us.
