Creating a vision for the future of Valley City

Community Visioning Meeting

On February 9, from 7-9 pm, Valley City residents are invited to participate in a community visioning process. Residents will gather at Epworth United Methodist Church (between the Bubble and Washington School) and be guided through an "Appreciative Inquiry" session led by a facilitator from the Bismarck-based Common Enterprise Development Corporation.

Residents will be invited to think about our community now, and describe their ideal Valley City five years from now. The brainstorming session will be the kick-off a two-month information gathering project. At a follow up meeting, community participants will decide how to work towards a common vision of a better Valley City.

The session is sponsored by CATCH. CATCH is an acronym for Communities Acting Together for Change and Hope, a statewide multi-faith group which encourages churches and other community groups to work together to improve their community. The CATCH movement was founded in Grand Forks.

This is a chance for you to make your voice heard and make a difference in our community.

See you there!
