POWERSCHOOL
Beginning Monday, all school communication will come via School Messenger. It is important that parents are able to receive these messages. If you are having any trouble, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.
We are very thankful for your patience with the PowerSchool transition. We are all learning together!
TEXT COMMUNICATION- We will occasionally use SMS to push out important messages. Before you can receive these text messages, you must OPT-IN. On 7/26 the Archdiocese sent out the opt-in text message to all parents and staff asking them to opt-in. The message would have come from 67587. If you are unsure whether you opted-in, just text yes or y to 67587 and you will be opted-in.

ARRIVAL REMINDERS
ALL STUDENTS, regardless of grade level, should be dropped off in the appropriate car rider line. Parents should not be walking their children through the parking lot or to their classrooms. We have multiple staff members on duty in the parking lot to help any student into the building that may need assistance.
What to do if you need to come to the office in the morning- Drop your child off in the appropriate car rider line, then park and come inside to the school office.
What to do if your child arrives after the doors close at 7:45- Park in the visitor parking spaces by door #17. WALK YOUR CHILD INTO THE BUILDING. Children should not come into the building unattended.
SCHOOL SAFETY WEEK
This week at Holy Name was school safety week! Each morning students were reminded of an important safety tip (do not open the door for anyone; tell a teacher if you see something that doesn't seem right, a friend is upset, or something is broken; the importance of remaining quiet during a safety drill, etc). We also practiced each of our major safety drills- Hold, Evacuate (fire), Shelter (tornado), and Lockdown. We know that sometimes drills can make us nervous, or even scared, but it is so important that we practice these to always make sure we are safe at school. We encourage you to talk to your children about our school safety week!
