ACADEMIC GOALS FOR 2015
Each fourth-grader has set an academic goal for the year, and we've posted them all in the hallway. We're proud of the big dreams that your children have -- reading more books, understanding math better, performing more experiments, improving writing skills. We can't wait to see your children reach their goals!
SAVE THE DATE: FRIDAY, FEB. 13
Parents, you are welcome to join our classroom Valentine parties, scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13. In the coming weeks, we'll have for you a classroom list of names so your child can start creating cards for classmates if they choose.
HAVE SOME EXTRA BOARD GAMES?
It's the season of frequent indoor recess! When cold temperatures keep us inside, we stay busy and active in the classrooms. If you have some spare board games or card games at home that you would like to donate to your child's homeroom teacher, please send them in! We appreciate your support!
ARE YOU MEETING THE 21-DAY CHALLENGE?
Don't forget to (1) register your child for the 21-Day Challenge and (2) track your child's healthy snacks! The Medical City website has all the details.

SNACK-TIME REQUESTS
The Please help your child choose morning snacks that are conducive to eating and working at the same time. We kindly request that students bring only one snack for the morning and that it be simple to eat while reading, writing and working. We have so much learn in fourth grade! Thank you in advance for your help!
ACCESS TO THE STUDENT LEARNING HUB
The Student Learning Hub offers links to curriculum-related resources. For example, you can view state standards for all subjects; characteristics of reading genres; and videos that explain how math concepts are taught in the district. Your child's homeroom teacher has already sent a click sheet that walks you through the login process. Please let us know if you have questions.
