ZONES OF REGULATION MEETING/HUI - HEALTH CONSULTATION

This term we are introducing this programme to our school. We are hosting an evening with Eric and Irirangi from the Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) on THURSDAY AUGUST 12th at 6pm.

The Zones of Regulation is a framework that uses four colours–blue, green, yellow, and red–to help students identify their feelings and level of alertness.

This will be followed by our Health Curriculum consultation which every school is required to undertake every two years.

We will provide a light tea as well as a movie night for your children so you can attend. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Please let your child's teacher know or phone/email the school office if you are able to attend. Both meetings will be of great interest to you.

CATHOLIC CHARACTER

Our focus for this week is on the Gospel teachings of Jesus and how our Mercy sisters values are examples of these.

Our children talk about 'Being the HEAD, the HEART, the VOICE and HANDS of Jesus' to those at home and in our community. We remind the children WWJD - 'What would Jesus Do' and WWJS - 'What would Jesus Say.'

We remind ourselves that we should work to LIVE, LOVE and LEARN the Mercy way showing everyone the person of Jesus.

We want our children to be COLLABORATIVE, CULTURALLY INCLUSIVE, RESILIENT, CREATIVE, REFLECTIVE witnesses as they go to the world.

So many wonderful messages for us all to live by.
