ZONES OF REGULATION MEETING/HUI - HEALTH CONSULTATION
This term we are introducing this programme to our school. We are hosting an evening with Eric and Irirangi from the Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) on THURSDAY AUGUST 12th at 6pm.
The Zones of Regulation is a framework that uses four colours–blue, green, yellow, and red–to help students identify their feelings and level of alertness.
This will be followed by our Health Curriculum consultation which every school is required to undertake every two years.
We will provide a light tea as well as a movie night for your children so you can attend. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Please let your child's teacher know or phone/email the school office if you are able to attend. Both meetings will be of great interest to you.
CATHOLIC CHARACTER
Our children talk about 'Being the HEAD, the HEART, the VOICE and HANDS of Jesus' to those at home and in our community. We remind the children WWJD - 'What would Jesus Do' and WWJS - 'What would Jesus Say.'
We remind ourselves that we should work to LIVE, LOVE and LEARN the Mercy way showing everyone the person of Jesus.
We want our children to be COLLABORATIVE, CULTURALLY INCLUSIVE, RESILIENT, CREATIVE, REFLECTIVE witnesses as they go to the world.
So many wonderful messages for us all to live by.

BLACK CAPS THIS THURSDAY
Ross Taylor, Will Young and Doug Bracewell will be at Fitzherbert Park with the WTC Mace and we would love to have you and your school down at Fitz to meet the Black Caps, to have a team photo and celebrate New Zealand being World Test Champions. Your players/students are encouraged to wear school colours and we hope to arrange a photo for all schools with the Mace and the Black Caps, as well as the chance to have individual photos and get signatures.
Thanks again for your support of cricket in the Manawatu, we are all very proud of the Black Caps and know that their success is a direct result of the development they get through schools like Our Lady of Lourdes School
Please let me know if Our Lady of Lourdes School is planning to attend, and if possible please give me an indication of numbers.
Thank you,
Cole Freeman
