Family Newsletter

September 28, 2022

Dear Parents,

I mentioned to all our parents that this was a writing year for our school's WCEA/WASC school accreditation year. What this means is that our faculty and staff will be looking to assess our school's areas of strengths and areas for improvement. This process of writing our school's self-study document takes a little over a year to complete. We will be sending out a link to a Parent Survey in October and asking all our families to complete this survey so we can begin to get your feedback and impressions. Before the survey goes out to you, I would like to ask you to please read over our school's Mission Statement and Philosophy once again to familiarize yourself with them in light of your time here at St. Anne School. It is those two statements that reflect who we are and who we want to be. They have allowed us to grow, adjust, and develop our school's programs over the years. Thank you for taking the time to read and reflect on both documents. The most succinct versions of the Mission and Philosophy are found in the beginning page of your child's homework planner. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS NEXT TUESDAY, OCT. 4.

PICTURE MAKE UP DAY SCHEDULED

All students had their school pictures taken last week by our new photography company, Still Light Studios. In two to three weeks, you will receive an email from the company letting you know that you can go on-line and view your child(ren)'s pictures. Please note that we will not have a group class picture taken in the spring this year as we did last year. Class composite pictures will be made available, however, later on. Please be on the lookout for Still Light Studios email. Students who missed picture day can have their photo taken on Thurs., Oct. 13. Please remember to send your child in full dress uniform.

PARISH FESTIVAL

Day 2 of the Festival is fun for the whole family featuring a carnival and dinner dance! Carnival and dance tickets are now available through 10/17/22. Thanks to everyone for selling raffle tickets! Friday, 9/30/22, is the last day to earn free dress passes. Each book sold = 1 free dress pass (limit 5/student). Currently, Preschool and 2nd Grade have sold the most tickets, and have a chance to earn an ice cream party and carnival game tickets! The top selling grade will be chosen on 10/12/22. Care to make a donation? Your tax deductible donation helps support Festival programs. See attached flyers for all the details.
