Dinner on Us!

Thank you for writing shout outs! Please continue to do so. We took down all of the February shout outs and selected two winners at random for dinner on us! Congratulations to Rachel Roehm and Becky Entry! We will have something for you Monday!

Let's get that board filled back up during March!

QR Code Labels

I have been speaking to several parents lately that say they are not informed and don't know about the weekly memo. I created small labels with a QR code to our school Facebook page. I will do a raffle (random number generator) this upcoming weekend and reward the students that are selected. There are labels in your mailboxes. Please put these in students' agendas Monday and encourage them to have their parents like our Facebook page. Thank you!

PBIS Meeting

There is a PBIS meeting on Wednesday, March 4 at 3:15 pm.

FSA Party

We are having a party for 2018-2019 FSA scores on March 6 from 6-9 pm. Please email Heather if you can volunteer at this event!

Book Club

We will meet Wednesday, March 11 at my house!

I attached a picture of an air pod case. I have it in my office; if your students mention it, please send them to me. My understanding is these are pricey.

Please have students shut their chromebooks down (properly--actually selecting shut down) every Friday. This will ensure the devices receive appropriate updates. Thank you!

Bad Language

Please super supervise your students during recess! After care has been finding vulgar language on the playground recently and they are working to help us clean it.

Please send students through the lunch line if they did not bring a lunch. Thank you!

Reflex Math

Students that have achieved 100% mastery on Reflex by March 11 will receive ice cream sundaes March 13. The schedule is TBD!

Performance Matters: Important!!!

Britani Stanley shared directions for accessing Performance Matters/Unify with a new log in and password. I attached an image from her email below. Please do these steps if you haven't already so you are able to pull data in this platform.

iReady Diagnostic #3~~UPDATE

4th and 5th grades take the iReady diagnostic between April 13-17.

K-3rd grades take the iReady diagnostic between May 1-28.

**Individual grade levels are responsible for their incentives for students.

Marking Tardies

If a parent drop off student arrives to your class after 8:10 (within a few minutes) and does not have a pass, they are present. We close the gate at 8:10 am. As long as they are on campus by this time, they are present. Students that arrive after must enter through the office and receive a pass. This will help you distinguish which to mark present and which to mark tardy.

Growth Mindset Assembly

NED Shows will present a school-wide assembly on growth mindset on March 30 at 1:30 pm. More information will be shared!

End of Year Activities

As we approach the end of the 3rd quarter, be thinking about your end of the year activities. Since FSA testing is later this year, things will fill up quickly on our school calendar. Please email me anything you want added to the calendar!

ESOL and Reading Endorsement

ESOL and Reading Endorsement courses are offered online via The Schultz Center. Please

use this link to see a current list of course offerings as well as to register for courses. Upon

registering, please indicate you are an employee of Okeechobee County Schools so that the

District will be invoiced for the cost of the course. You may register for one course per term. If

you register for a course and drop prior to earning a certificate of completion, the District will not

pay for you to retake the course. If you have any questions, please let Andi Canaday know.

o The Reading Endorsement Competency 4 is to be offered by FDLRS sometime this

fall. Once additional information is available, Ms. Canaday will share it with us.

Math Unit Scores

Please update your math unit scores once you have them!

Student of the Week

Please use the Google Sheet to update your students of the week. The sheet has been updated through the end of the school year. Because of FSA testing, we will NOT have student of the week the week of May 4-8.

Time Off Requests

Don't forget to include Joy, Meghan, and Jen in your time off requests!

Counseling Services

Dear teachers,

We will be increasing the number of students that receive independent or small group counseling services. This is extremely important for our students. Please allow students to leave your classroom for these therapies, even if it is during instructional/academic time. Thank you for your understanding.

Don't Forget!

Please respond to meeting calendar invites and also put your time off in Skyward!

Thank you for all you do! Have a great week!
