Resource Room Math Resources
Week 1 - K/1st/2nd Grade Math Activity Choices
1.) Complete 2 pages in Math Fact Packet. (Sent home in folder on Friday, March 13th.)
2.) Play CMC Math Games for 20 minutes. CMC Practice Software (Logins were emailed to you.)
3.) Play Prodigy math website for 20 minutes. Prodigy Math (Logins were sent home in folder on Friday, March 13th.)
4.) Choose a math task to complete:
- Count to 5, count to 7, and count to 10.
- Count sets of objects, up to 10 , using crayons or Legos. Touch each object as you count.
- Make flashcards for the symbols: 2, 4, 6, =. Practice identifying the symbols on flashcards.
- Practice writing the symbols: 2, 4, 6, = 5 times each on a marker board or in a notebook.
- Count objects around your home- How many doors are in your home? How many chairs? How many people? How many windows?
Week 1 - 3rd/4th/5th Grade Math Activity Choices

4.) Choose a math task to complete:
- Start at 125 and count by 1's to 135. Start with 20 and count backward by 1's. Count by 10's to 100. Count backward by 10's from 100.
- Write 5 3-digit numbers on a marker board or in a notebook. In random order, identify which number is in the tens place, the one's place, and the hundreds place.
- Practice saying the place value facts for these numbers: 52, 50, 90, 34, 45,10 (ex.30+2=32)
- Make flashcards for all plus 10 facts (1+10 through 10+10), and practice in random order.
- For a challenge, practice adding 10 to a 2-digit number. (ex. 47+10)

K-3 Students-READWELL Activity Choices:
1.) Decodable Reader/ Comprehension Practice
- Read Unit 17 Story- "Max and Sam" (page 1 in link below).
- Answer Unit 17 questions (page 13 in link below).

2.) Reading Fluency
Select a homework page and practice reading 3 times to practice fluency. (from packet sent home in folder on March 13th).
3.) Journal Prompts
Talk about it, Draw about it or Write about it.
- Imagine you had a hundred dollars, but you couldn't keep it. You had to give it away to a person. Who would you give it to? What would you want them to do with it?
- Describe one time when you were brave.
4.) Sound Card/ Word Building Practice:
Read Well 1 (Most K-3 Students): Sound Cards-create word/sound cards using the following: Create sound/word cards using the following:
s, e (as in emu), m, a (as in ant), d, th, n, t, w, i(as in insect), h, c, r, ea (as in eagle), sh, k, ck (as in sack).
- Create a card with one sound per card. Practice reading the sounds.
- Create word lists using the sounds and have your child practice reading the words.
OR
Read Well 2 (Mrs. Theisen's 8:30 Student): Sound Cards- create sound cards using the following:
aw (paw), ew (crew), ue (blue), u_e (flute), ow (snow), ge (page), dge (edge)
- Create a card with one sound per card. Practice reading the sounds.
- Create word lists using the sounds and have your child practice reading the words.
5.) Ticket to Read: access the following website: https://www.tickettoread.com/ (Logins were sent home in folders on March 13th). The program will pick up where your child last left off!
4th/ 5th Grade Language! Students Activity Choices:
