Senior Athletic Banquet Information

Here are some basic facts to know about the Athletic Banquet on Monday, May 13:

  • Parents and students should have already purchased tickets. At this point, we are sold out.
  • Family members that have tickets can arrive at 6 PM at Bull Valley Country Club.
  • Dinner will begin at 6:30 PM, award presentations will begin at 7 PM.
  • Pictures should be taken after the ceremony so that we can begin on time.
  • Tables are assigned, please check in at the registration table. Please do not change seats.
  • Many students will wear button down shirts and ties, girls often wear dresses. Attire should be appropriate for a celebratory event - please avoid jeans and shorts!

We are looking forward to a great event. See you there!

All the Facts for Graduation

  • Please remember that all fees and fines must be paid in order to participate in the ceremony.
  • Graduation Rehearsal, Friday, May 17: this is mandatory for all students. Students should plan to arrive by the start of the regular school day. Breakfast will be provided for all Seniors by the Senior Class. Rehearsal will continue until approximately 11:30. We will practice until we get it right! Students who are speaking in the ceremony should plan to stay after all others are released to rehearse their speeches. Students may not be dismissed early!
  • Tickets: each Senior will receive 4 tickets, and then will be able to stand in line to receive extra tickets for as long as we have extra tickets. Students that are involved in the AP Music Theory test need to check with me (if they haven't already) so that I can hold their tickets.
  • Graduation Ceremony: doors open at 6:30 for all visitors. There are 2 entry doors, Door 2 and Door 6. Door 6 is by the pool and is often overlooked. You may be able to avoid lines at that door. Wheelchair or special needs family members can enter at 6:15 for extra time to find seats. All people need a ticket, even very small children (babies). Please do not bring large balloon bouquets into the gym as they block the view of other families. We strongly discourage any noise makers as this ceremony needs to remain special for every family. We would not want to detract from anyone's experience for their student.
  • Graduates should arrive at 6:00 PM at Door 1. Only graduates can enter Door 1. Family members must enter door 2 or 6.
  • Be sure to that your graduate remembers to pick up their folder in the commons area after they exit the gym at the end of the ceremony.
  • Graduate attire should be appropriate for a celebratory event. Button down shirts and ties are appropriate for the boys, dresses are often worn by the girls but are not required. Students have been advised of the expectations for their clothes. Students who have not met those expectations will be asked to change. Girls are not allowed to have any flowers with their cap and gown during the ceremony.
  • Graduates must have their hands free during the ceremony. Purses, bags, and phones cannot be carried with them during the ceremony. They should plan to leave these in the car rather than in the auditorium.
  • Please note that it will be very crowded in the Commons after the ceremony. Make plans where to meet as a family for pictures afterwards.

May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month

Please join us Monday, May 13, and wear GRAY to support our own student Mary Kobler and all others who are battling brain cancer. Mary is a Freshman with us this year. We plan to take pictures during each lunch period of all staff and students wearing gray to send to Mary. Please come down and help us send good wishes and support to Mary.
