Art Show Students Show Off Talents & Give Back!
Check out the fantastic work that was showcased at this year's Art Show!
Congratulations to all our artists that participated in this past month's Art Show! The art department is especially proud of our senior AP students : Krishna Craig, Kayla DeFazio, Alison Forsell, Allie He, Gianna Perez, and Molli Smith.
Thank you to all of Spotswood High School's student body for being excellent visitors to our 2021-22 Art Show. It was so nice to hear all of the positive comments and witness excellent and respectful behavior. Thank you!
We are also pleased to announce that the give back project of the HOPE canvases was able to raise over $460 for Family Promise in one night!!! Family Promise is the nation's leading organization working to prevent and end family homelessness. Our top canvases winners receiving the most donations were in 3rd place: Sam Nason 10th grade, 2nd place: Ava Williams-12th grade, and 1st place: Isabella Sanabria-12 grade! Way to go! It feels good to give back doing what we love, making art!
Thank you to Mrs. Collins, Ms. Bartel, and Mr. Schwartz for all your work organizing the Art Show!
NHS Hosts PowderPuff Football
Well done to all the players, cheerleaders, coaches, officials, and most of all, our NHS officers & advisors who organized!

Parking Lot Safety Reminders
Please be aware that speed humps have been installed throughout our High School/Middle School campus to best ensure the safety of all pedestrians on our property. All speed humps are clearly painted with diagonal lines in fluorescent yellow paint. As they are designed to reduce the speed of vehicles on campus, please remain alert and DRIVE SLOW.
Recently, parents have been coming in through the back, parking in spaces in the "Senior Lot" or idling for extended periods of time and then dropping off. This creates crowding and a dangerous traffic flow when combined with our student drivers trying to park and get to class on time.
Upcoming Fundraisers

Monitoring Grades & Eligibility
MARKING PERIOD 4:
Students are NOT ELIGIBLE for extracurricular activities, including athletics, if they have 2 or more failing grades (includes WF, I, & NC) until the following marking period. This includes full year, semester, and marking period courses such as health. This applies to BOTH marking period 4 and end of year grades, in which case the student's ineligibility carries over to the first marking period of the following school year. If at the end of that marking period, they have less than 2 failing grades they would then become eligible.
Middle States Accreditation
Each month, we will provide you with a brief update on where we are in the process. As always if you are interested in getting involved in the process, please do not hesitate to reach out!
This Month's Update: We are taking a "deep dive" into our school by creating our Self-Study Document. This means looking at our course offerings, extracurricular involvement, finances, student services, and so much more! We'll use this information to craft several goals that our school wants to work towards.
