Function and Processes
The function of centrioles are that they assist cell division by moving to each side of the cell. They basically split the cell apart into two. They are in the processes of mitosis and meiosis.

A real world example would be like two groups of people pulling on a rope. As they pull the rope, it would split apart in two.
