School News You Can Use!

November 1, 2019
Good Afternoon Walden Families,

What an incredibly fun week was had by students at Walden this week! Our Halloween assembly and classroom parties were a blast! Thank you to all parents who spent time planning and preparing fun activities and games for each classroom. I hope you were able to tune in to our Walden Facebook Page in order to view the assembly. If not, it's still posted there for your enjoyment! Even though we weren't able to parade outside, we made the best of the situation and had a great time together as a school.

Please take a moment and view our student newspaper linked below. Some of our 4th and 5th graders spend their recess time working together collaborating on their articles. Thank you to Mrs. Oshiro and Mrs. Russell for your sponsorship of this activity!

Outdoor Preparation

Due to our winter weather settling in earlier than expected, please ensure that your child(ren) are coming to school with appropriate clothing for the cold and snow. We generally will allow children to go outside and play when the temperature is above 15 degrees. Please have children wearing warm clothing including snow boots, snow pants, hats, gloves/mittens, and scarves. Thank you!

Lost and Found

If your child has lost an item at school, please visit our Walden Lost & Found. We have many items on display and you may easily find your missing items. Thank you!

Parking Lot Update (3rd Posting)

Our parking lot has been painted to clearly show the traffic pattern that all cars should be following during drop off and pick up. Cars are not allowed in the red zone as this area is dedicated for emergency vehicles only. Parking is prohibited in this area. See below for the image of our lot. We expect that all parents and guardians follow this flow of traffic to ensure student safety and efficiency at this time. Thank you for your cooperation!
