Mrs. Redfern's Classroom News

Peek at the Week

Our Focus: We are learning about different tools a scientist uses. Everyday, we continue to build our school family and positive environment within our classroom. I will be introducing classroom jobs, which we will switch at the beginning of every week.
Weekly Skills: We began our Animated Literacy letter/sound series today. Please visit my private Facebook page to find out who we learned about each day! We will continue to work on a new letter every day. This usually last the first full quarter of Kindergarten. I am assessing students' knowledge of upper/lower case letters and sounds. We continue to work on how to write and recognize our names. Cutting and glue handling skills are still a strong focus.
Math: Students are working on number recognition and proper formation. We will be using problem solving skills to understand different ways to represent a number.
