Tardies and Early Dismissals for Students

Our doors open for students at 8:50 AM, and instruction begins at 9:20 AM daily. Dismissal begins at 2:45 PM. Due to the already shortened school day, and many days of lost instructional time, please try and avoid late drop-offs and early dismissals for your child as much as possible. We certainly understand that appointments are a priority, and many have been made months in advance. However, we want our students to be exposed to as much consistency as possible at this point, and tardies and early dismissals can certainly disrupt that process during an already difficult school year.

Additionally, adults are not permitted entry into our school at this point due to COVID restrictions. Please call the main office at (304) 229-1970 if you are dropping off late or picking up early. Thank you for your cooperation!

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

With the change in schedule, we know that there have been several changes in dismissal plans for several of our students. If your child is going to be a daily car rider (Monday through Friday), you MUST complete the following survey:

Please DO NOT complete the form again if you already have a car tag for your child(ren).

Parents are reminded to place their car tags in their rearview mirrors during dismissal so that our duty personnel can easily identify your student. Also, adults should not exit their vehicles during drop-off or dismissal. If your child needs additional assistance getting into or out of a car seat, please either pull into a parking spot, move away from the flow of traffic to keep the line moving. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

  • If you are waiting for COVID testing results, please report that to Administration or the School Nurse (even during remote learning time).

Thank you for keeping our community safe!

Student Face Coverings

Although Pre-K through 2nd grade students are not required to wear a mask in the school building, we highly encourage all children to wear them throughout the day.

Reminder: if your child rides a bus, they are required to wear them while riding to and from school.

Outdoor Recess

Students will be provided with outdoor recess as long as the temperature is 32 degrees and above (Real Feel). Please make sure your child has a warm coat, gloves, and a hat for outdoor playing. At this time, our playground equipment is still closed, and students will use the blacktop and track.
