What's Up in the Tech World
Welcome Back!
I hope your Spring Break was restful! We relaxed at home and did a little cleaning. I was excited to get back to work today and see each of you. Thanks again to Carey Van Kirk for demonstrating her Ebeam for us at Lower Campus today. We do have 4 Ebeams on order and will be deciding how best to distribute these between the campuses. Unfortunately, I will not be at Lower Campus this week. Jenni M and I are going to Manchester Tennessee to attend a Google Apps for Education seminar Thursday and Friday. Have a great week!!
I learned about a new Google Add-on calld JoeZoo which allows teachers to set up feedback statements that you use frequently. It also allows teachers to create rubrics to grade a document. Turnitin is probably a better option but I thought I would share this for teachers who do not use Turnitin.
The link to the Read Write Think activities below will work for elementary to middle school writing. You might even find some ideas for high school writing. There are many different activities on this site but the link I provided highlights 5 of them.
I included a link to a video (it is on facebook, I couldn't find another way to share) made by one of my professors at Boise State. It has GREAT ideas for ways to use interactive maps in the classroom. They have some amazing ideas.
