Rogers/Ratzlaff January Newsletter
Grade 3 ~ 2016
Thank you to the YU-Turn Centre for having us!!
Happy New Year!
Wow, it is hard to believe that it is January 2016 already! We hope that everyone had a great Christmas break! Now that we are swinging back into schedule, be sure to help remind your child that it is their responsibility to continue reading every night for 15-20 minutes, and to get their LINK book signed. The LINK book will be sent home every evening. As a parent please read the information listed under the date, and then sign your initials to indicate you have seen what your child has to finish, or what activities are taking place in school. If you need to send notes in, please put them in the LINK book and we will be sure to respond. Thanks for your help on getting this routine back in action after a long break!!!
In Language Arts this month our focus will be "Winter is Wonderful". Any books that you may have at home about winter facts can be brought in to be shared with the class. In Math we will finishing off our addition and subtraction strategies and starting our Data Collection and Graphing unit. In Science, we will be finishing up our Hearing and Sound unit. Lastly, In Social Studies we will continue comparing quality of life in Peru, Tunisia, India and the Ukraine. Thanks for taking time to read this newsletter... here's to an awesome 2016!
We also want to say a HUGE Thank you to Miss. Morris on doing an outstanding job of teaching the students while Mr. Ratzlaff was away from the classroom.
