Reading Post
October 2014
Quick Note:
We would like to thank everyone for working so hard and allowing us to work with you. Now that we have completed TPRI and IRI testing in grades 1-2 we will be working hard on guided reading groups. If you need any assistance generating groups based on student data, selecting appropriate text, or clarification on centers please let us know. We are here to help.
The 6th is the start of our seventh week of school, with that said we need to make sure that the students are aware of their classroom expectations and routines to help assist behavior during center/station time. All teachers in grades 1-5 should now be pulling guided reading groups. Kinder teachers should be pulling small groups based on needs of their students. For those of you who have started....thank you very much.
Lastly, Linda has placed the Fluency charts that go with the blue fluency center on the i-drive. You will find them under the reading tools & resources folder.
