Keystone Exams for 10th & 11th Grades

From Friday, 5/12 to Wednesday, 5/24 our school will be in Testing Mode as our 10th and 11th grade students take their Keystone Exams in Algebra, Biology, and Literature! 10th and 11th grade students will report to each day of testing from 7:45am to 11:00am. Extended time is available for students who need it during any Keystone Exam. Please review all of the important Keystone Information on our school website:

9th & 12th Grade Schedules: 5/12 - 5/24

9th Grade Students: 9th grade students will be following the schedule posted below and completing assignments asynchronously for their classes during the Keystone Exam window.


12th Grade Students: 12th grade students will be coming in on one of their chosen senior project day to complete their Senior Service Project.(Ms. Kriessler will contact seniors with specific details regarding their selected day) Seniors should make sure they are in good standing in all of their classes and make up any missed work or assignments during this time. All seniors will return to school on Tuesday, 5/30.

Failure Warnings

2nd Semester Failure Warnings will be mailed home the week of May 8th. Students receiving a failure warning are in danger of failing the course for the Semester! Parents should reach out to teachers and students should make up any missed work. Homework Help is available after school Mondays through Thursdays in the cafeteria. Students who fail a course will be required to attend Summer School Credit Recovery to remediate the failure.

AP EXAMS

Good luck to our AP students who will be taking their AP Exams this first week of May!

Seniors in AP Literature & Composition will be taking their Exam on Wednesday, 5/3!

Juniors in AP US History will be taking their AP Exam on Friday, 5/5! Advanced Placement Exams are National Exams taken on specific dates and times throughout the country. Students have worked all year preparing for these Exams in their AP courses and can be awarded college credits for scoring high on these Exams.

National Honor Society

NHS University Tour trip will be on 5/4 at West Chester University. 10th and 11th grade NHS members will have the chance to tour the university and surrounding campus.


NHS for 2023- 2024 School Year


NHS applications will be sent out via email by the end of May. 9th-11th grade students should keep an eye on their email for the opportunity to apply for next year

Student Government Association

9th & 10th graders

If you are interested in the Student Government Association for next year, please see Mrs. McWilliams in Room 605 by Thurs May 11th, 2023.

You must be passing all of your classes. Your discipline grade must be between 85-100.


11th graders: SGA Officers next year.

Students who are running for officers will be making a broadcasting announcement starting on Monday May 1st. Any junior who would like to be a representative for SGA next year must be passing all of your classes. Students' discipline grade must be between 85-100.

Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday, May 2nd! We are so thankful for all of our awesome teachers! SGA & NHS members will be delivering gifts to say thank you to our teachers on 5/2!

Summer Enrichment Program @ PE&T


Please join Philadelphia E&T for the first summer in our new facility for our Summer Enrichment Program at 1709 Benjamin Franklin Parkway!


This FREE program is an elevated summer camp concept and open to students in Grades 9 through 11. The program is designed to give students a safe and fun environment filled with STEM activities, field trips and innovation, special emphasis on gaming and team building will take place in the SUMMER of 2023.


Free breakfast and lunch will be served daily.The program runs from 9AM to 3PM on Mondays through Thursdays.The six-week program starts on July 5, 2023 and ends on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Junior/Senior Prom Tickets

Place: IATSE Ballroom, 2401 South Swanson Street, Philadelphia PA 19148

Cost; $80.00 per person, $150 per couple

Ticket payments can be paid in Room 300 to Ms. Lisa Wray.


Students attending Prom will have an excused absence the day of Prom (Thurs. 6/8) and the day after Prom, Friday, 6/9.

Senior Fee is Past Due!

The Senior Fee of $300 was due on March 31st!


If you haven't yet paid Senior Fee, please pay as soon as possible. See Ms. Wray in the Main Office(300) with cash, check, or money order. You can also pay via Venmo or Paypal:

Seniors: Mark Your Calendars

Senior S2 Credit Recovery: June 5th to June 9th - Ms. Kriessler will be reaching out to seniors who need to remediate potential failures in current courses in order to graduate.


Senior Prom - Thursday, 6/8 @ Iatse Ballroom; 6:30pm - 10:30pm


Yearbook Day - Monday, 6/12


Dorney Park Trip - Tuesday, 6/13


Graduation Practice - Wednesday, 6/14 (@ school building): caps, gowns, tix will be distributed at practice (this practice is mandatory!)


Graduation Day: Thursday, 6/15; 10am at The Kimmel Center (300 South Broad Street)

Graduates must arrive by 9am; All students receive 6 tickets; extra tickets can be requested on June 5th.
