John Allen Muhammad

John Allen Muhammad, along with his seventeen-year-old partner, Lee Boyd Malvo, carried out the Beltway Sniper Attacks of Oct, 2002, killing 10 and injuring several others. Muhammad and Malvo had separate trials. They were each found guilty of committing crimes in several other states, along with Virginia.

Malvo testified against Muhammad during his trial, accusing him of pulling the trigger on the first six shootings. Prosecutors said the shootings were a part of a plot to extort $10 million from the local and state governments. Muhammad served his sentence at Sussex State Prison in Virginia, until his death by lethal injection on November 10, 2009.
