The baby boom is a sudden increase in the number of births observed from year to year

Canada's birthrate skyrocketed from the end of WWII until about 1965 thanks to the

improving economy

-The number of births had been steadily decreasing since 1961; decreased by 8%

-The baby boom lasted for 20 years in Canada during that time more than 8.2 million babies were born an average close to 412,000 a year
