CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection 29th & 30th July 2013
Attendees:
This course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting and checking scaffolds for safe use and for signing certificates and registers accordance with statutory regulations.
Objectives:
The overall aim is to develop in trainees an understanding of scaffold components, forms of construction and inspection procedures of basic access scaffolds and to comply with current legislation and Codes of Practice.
Content:
The course will give trainees an understanding of:
· Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
· Work at Height Regulations 2005
· Regulations and Approved Codes of Practise (ACoPs)
· Scaffold Terminology
· Scaffold Materials
· Means of Access
· Gin Wheels and Ropes
· Scaffold Ties
· Construction Regulations and Recommendations of Basic Scaffolds
· Practical Inspection
· Reports
Competence is measured by multi choice examination and practical scaffold inspection examination.
Certification:
CISRS Certification of training upon completion of course and successful completion of both examinations.
Notes:
Successful attendees who have passed a CSCS Health & Safety test will apply for a CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection card.
