Message from Superintendent Cybulla
As the school year closes, it gives me an opportunity to express how proud I am of our school community. This school year began with many unknowns. Our parents, students, teachers and support staff embraced the challenges and created meaningful learning opportunities and fun memories. The 2021-2022 school year ended with graduates walking through their elementary schools, field days, firetruck rides, graduations and the signing of yearbooks. You cannot help but smile as you scroll through the end of year pictures in this newsletter. The ECSD spirit shines through the faces of our staff and students.
The ECSD Bond work will be swinging into high gear this summer with construction at St. Clair High School for the new gym addition, the continuation of construction and renovations at the Early Childhood Center and Innovation Center. In addition, the renovation construction will begin at the Marine City High School and Middle School (The MC Campus). It is so exciting to see these new and updated learning spaces come to life. Our students and staff are lucky to live in a community that supports their needs and education.
Thank you for a wonderful year and I am already looking forward to next school year.
Enjoy the summer moments.

News from the MC Campus
Marine City Middle School Bands wrapped up the year in their Spring concert.

Marine City Junior Honor Society students attended the Discovery at the Grand field trip on Mackinac Island.
While there the students attended programs hosted by the Challenger Learning Center. They explored the night sky while in a StarLab Planetarium, built and competed in a foam rocket launch, explored the surface of Mars through a scavenger hunt, and used the engineering design process to construct and test a prototype parachute for a safe egg descent.
On day one, along with the learning activities, the students indulged in a five-course dinner in the Grand Hotel's main dining room before staying the night in one of the unique Grand Hotel rooms/suites. On day 2, the students enjoyed a full American breakfast buffet at the Grand Hotel, took an informative carriage tour of the island, and strolled and shopped downtown.

Congratulations Class of 2022!
