Sail. . . or not to Sail
Today I once again asked King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella to pay for my upcoming expedition across the Atlantic. If they do not pay for it any sooner I have no idea where I can get the riches to pay for it. I promised them great riches and new lands to discover. i think I am finally starting to convince them toward the expedition. I believe we can reach Asia by sailing west across the Atlantic ocean. i also think we will find Catholic converts. Maybe by next year i will finally convince them to pay for my expedition.
Christopher Columbus was born in 1451. He was a sailor from Italy. He married Felipa Perestrello and a son and died shortly. In 1488, he another son with Beatriz Enriquez de Arana. In 1492, he set sail on the Nina, Pinta, and the Santa Maria. During that time he found land and thought he found Asia instead he found the Island San Salvador. Columbus was arrested for poor leadership of his brothers since he was away on his third voyage. Although he was released he was no longer governor of the Indies and most of his findings from his voyages. In 1504 he returned back to Spain and died two years later due to bad health.
