The Performance Evaluation for Alaska’s Schools (PEAKS) are content area summative assessments designed to measure a student’s understanding of the skills and concepts outlined in the Alaska English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics Standards and the K-12 Science Standards for Alaska. Alaska’s standards are specific rigorous expectations for growth in students’ skills across grades.
The ELA and mathematics assessments are administered to students in grades 3-9. The science assessment is administered to students in grades 5, 8, and 10.
Please be sure your child is prepared by getting a good night’s sleep and eating a healthy breakfast.
NASP is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4-12. And through it, students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.
