Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up Safety
- Stay in LEFT lane when driving into the front Oak St. entrance of the school. The right lane is for emergency vehicles, buses, and students & staff passing through to park in the side/rear lots of the building.
- Drop-off/pick-up CURBSIDE in front of the school from the RIGHT LANE ONLY. No drop-offs/pick-ups are permitted from vehicles in the left lane.
- DO NOT PARK in the CURBSIDE DROP-OFF LANE.
- If parents/guardians are entering the front of the building, park briefly in the small lot directly in front of the school OR proceed in the right-hand lane when entering the Oak St. driveway to the rear of the building, and park in the rear or Whitehouse field lots.
HELPFUL OPTIONS:
Option 1:
- We have noticed that the highest traffic time in the morning is between 8:40-8:45 am.
- Arriving slightly earlier at 8:30-8:35 will assist in alleviating heavy traffic volume and will spread-out morning student drop-offs.
Option 2:
- In the afternoon, park at Whitehouse Field and have your student exit the side building doors and meet you there. There are plenty of parking spots in that lot.
Option 3:
- Arrive 10 minutes after the conclusion of the school day when traffic and buses have cleared.
Thank you for working with our school to ensure our students, staff, parents/guardians, guests and visitors have a safe experience during our pickup and drop off hours.

Summary of the Week: September 17th-22nd
Written by: Caroline Howard
Hey all you shark fans! Get ready for another week of sports updates from your favorite reporter. That’s right, I’m back in the office. The first thing I would like to update you all on was the Friday games results. Girls field hockey played an impressive game against Nauset. The girls led the game 2-1 until the last minute, when Nauset came in to tie up the game. Final score, 2-2. Later that night, Boys Football also faced Nauset. The boys played a great game, but despite their best efforts, the Warriors grasped the win. The final score of the night was Monomoy 8, Nauset 45. Way to play hard the whole game boys!
The Nauset vs. Monomoy rivalry continued into the weekend when Boys Soccer faced the Warriors. It was a tight game until the very end, both teams putting forth their best play. The final score of the scorching day game was Monomoy 0, Nauset 6. Great effort guys!
Girls Field Hockey played Sturgis West on Monday. A tough game with the field conditions, but the Sharks swam into a victory! Final score, 4-2. Senior captains Aoife Daly, and yours truly, Caroline Howard were mentioned in the Cape Cod Times for their strong leadership and help with the new coach, Jenny Estes.
Tuesday brought around an intense rainstorm, leaving the Shark’s games (Field Hockey, Boys and Girls Soccer, and Cross Country, and Boys Golf) postponed. But hey! When has water ever stopped a shark! All teams still practiced and got ready for the next games to come.
Boys golf came back on Wednesday to battle Cape Cod Tech. The Sharks paired off at Ocean Edge for a close match. The final score, Monomoy 44, Cape Cod Tech 61. Coach Anderson mentioned Captain Jason Masiello’s strong play for the team. A tough loss, but Boys Golf will come back swinging! Literally!
On Thursday Boys and Girls Cross Country ran into a victory over SJP! The boys with an overall finish of 20-38, Girls 17-44! Looks like Cross Country ran so fast they swept us off our feet! Way to go runners! Thursday also brought a big win for Boys Golf, crushing CCA 83-75. Parrrrr-fect guys! It was a big day for soccer as the boys kicked off against Sturgis West. The boys won 2-0, leaving Sturgis West in the dust. While the boys were playing away, Girls soccer had a home game against Sturgis West. A hard fight, but the sharks ended up down by one. Final score 1-0.
We have big games today over on Martha’s Vineyard. Girls field hockey and girls soccer will match off against the Vineyarders at 4:15. Football is away in Canton against the Blue Hills. I will be back next week with the scores!
For now, I am signing off. But don’t worry, sharks don’t stay away for too long!
