Does the media affect the lives of teens? The media affects teens in many ways in which one is that the media affects teen girl's lives by making them think how they should look, and the media impacts on how boys should look like as well.


Body image is the subjective picture or mental image of one's own body. The media is affecting on how people think of that. Whatever the media teaches about Body image is wrong, we make our own body image. And on top of that the media has used celebrities to make the effect stronger. In fact, they even effect on how we view society. The media affects young teen girls’ and young boys’ body images.


Teens make choices because of the media. How does the media affect teens lives? The media affects teens by showing on Tv seem real. The media affects on how teens view their bodies. Reality TV impacts young teen girls’ lives because of how they feel they should look and act. Media also impacts boys and how they feel they should look. The media is affecting teens in many ways and one is how they view their bodies. Teens make choices because of the media. The media affects boys and girls feelings and views of their bodies. The media is affecting teens and all types and many ways.

Reality TV impacts young teen girls’ lives because of how they feel they should look and act. “The media is affecting the way girls think about their bodies should look like”(H.R.A.T.G.) Teen girls are being affected a lot by how the media shows how there body should be like.“The media is showing teens girls that they should look like in a way that is impossible to reach.”(H.R.A.T.G.) Teens girls try to make an impossible look that the media shows them they should look like. Reality Tv affects teen girls lives on how they should look like.

Media also impacts boys and how they feel they should look. “Of the boys who were highly concerned with their weight, about half were worried only about gaining more muscle.”(Body Image Pressure Increasingly Affects Boys.). Even boys from being slim to try and become to un-humanlike muscular. “A 2012 study of adolescents revealed that muscle-enhancing behaviors are pervasive among both middle school and high school-age males: More than a third downing powders or shakes in an effort to boost their muscularity; In, addition almost 6 percent admitted to using steroids.”(Body Image Pressure Increasingly Affects Boys.). The media is pushing kids to over their limits just to get muscular. The media affects boys on how they should look like.

The media is affecting teens in many ways. And its making much more problems than it already is. For example, the media is making teens make body choices in which they try to reach an impossible body form. Another is because they are being influenced by the media themselves.
