7th Grade ELA Class
Hello students! I could not be more excited to meet you and to work together this year! You are in for quite an adventure! It will not take you long to discover that I set high expectations for my students, believing that every kid has enormous potential and seeking to help them achieve their own personal best.
We have so many fun and exciting plans for you that I can't wait to get started, so COME ON IN! My door is always open, and I am eager to help you in any way that I can!
MEET MRS. ABBEY FLORES
I am thrilled to be starting my 18th year in education and my 5th year at Medlin. Most of my teaching career has been spent teaching high school English, with a little Journalism, SAT Test Prep and Creative Writing sprinkled in, as well. I believe this puts me at a great advantage teaching middle school and understanding exactly what we need to do to prepare you for high school. Finally, you should know that reading and writing are my passion, so teaching these subjects seems more like a privilege than a job. I hope to share my enthusiasm with you this year and help you achieve more than you've ever thought possible!
My Three Wildflowers
I love the fact that my last name is Spanish for flowers! I often refer to my sweet family as the Five Flowers or Flores Five. I am the proud mom of Madison (16, Junior at BNHS), Landon (13, Medlin 8th grader), Owen (12, Medlin 6th grader) and our precious new pup, Wrigley (He is sooo sweet!). When I am not at school, I can be found on a baseball, softball or lacrosse field watching one of my kiddos play. My husband, Frank, also works for NISD as a PE teacher at Sendera Ranch and has been active in our community, mainly through TCR Baseball (Go Bobcats!), for many years . We both graduated from Texas A&M (WHOOOP!) and take the family down to College Station as much as possible to watch Aggie football, baseball & softball games. (GIG 'EM!) Trophy Club has been our home for more than 16 years, and we are so happy and blessed to be a part of THE BEST SCHOOL DISTRICT in TEXAS! The Flores Five are an active bunch -- always juggling our school, sports, and church activities, but we are usually having a ball and enjoying our time together. I love my fantastic family!
