3 yrs. vs. 18 yrs.
3 year old kids don't know that their learning a new language. There brains aren't fully developed yet so id easy for them to learn new thing with out is being difficult for them. For 18 year old kids there used to there original language. People 18 yrs. and older there brain are mostly fully developed. So it would be a lot harder for them cause there used to what they have done for the past 18 years.

Lederberg stated that:
L2 which mean second language. Is best learned at age 2 + puberty. The ability to learn the language is legislatively affected by the completion of process of laterialization.
- Critical Period
- laterialization is when each side of the brain develops it's own specialized function.
- young learners use the same part of the brain that uses both sided to learn the language.
- young learners (before the age 5) are actually native speakers of both languages.
-Advantage of Young Learners
