End of Year Podemos Celebration
From Mrs. Bass. . .
"We had over 100 people have the opportunity to taste exquisite foods from nine different countries. The two hour experience was seriously INCREDIBLE! Our families enjoyed great food, talked together as families, laughed, and celebrated their cultures. I cannot thank everyone who had a part in the evening for the time, effort, and passion you put into preparing this event. You and your talents are appreciated and admired!!!!
We also had the adult learner representative from C-9 talk to our families to share career and educational opportunities available to them for free. We have several families interested in learning English and others interested in certification work-force classes. That will be our next step in empowering our families and creating equitable opportunities. Good things to come!"

A Fun and Fabulous BGMS Dance!
From Mrs. Sutton. . .
BGMS held a very successful Bright Lights and Neon Night end of the year dance and celebration party. With over 258 students in attendance, it was definitely a night to remember! The kids had such a great time dancing, playing ball, socializing and enjoyed just being a kid again! What a great event after the past two years of distancing. Thanks to our School Board President, Janis King for coming and helping with student check in and all the teachers and staff for their help in promotion, and running the night's event. I know coming in on a Saturday at the end of a very full year takes special teachers and staff that are super invested in our students-we have a great tribe here who just love our students and love to see them thrive! It was a spectacular night!
"I can't forget to mention the huge generosity of DJ Jason Hammer from WIBC who came out and made this party rock! He donated his time and awesome talent so these kids could have a great experience......"
