Recent Updates:
Panorama Survey
- We need your feedback as our biannual Panorama Survey is underway now! We are asking each family, student, and staff member to complete the survey. The links to the surveys are posted on our website. Parents can also expect to receive information from their child’s school in the following days. Your students will likely hear about it in class, but as always, we remind parents you do have the option to notify your child’s school if you do not want your child to participate. In response to North Carolina’s Parent’s Bill of Rights legislation, this year’s survey is shorter and does not ask questions that deal with personal student emotion.
- Parent, student, and staff participation in this survey is helpful as it is the best way to help the district make decisions using your input and feedback as the guide.
NC Check In's #1
- NC Check In's will continue this week.
- It is important that students arrive on time and prepared. Students will need to turn off all personal electronic devices including phones and digital watches. If a device interrupts the testing environment students may have to retake the test.
How to Check Your Students Grades
- Progress reports were sent home on Wednesday, September 27th.
- We have just completed the last week in the first quarter. It is vital you know where your student stands academically.
- If you have any questions about setting up your PowerSchool Parent Portal to check grades daily please call the school and ask to speak to Ms. Sharp, our data manager.
- Parents/Guardians-your students can also show you their grades. All our students have been taught how to check their grades using their computer, so ask them to show you their grades every week.
Information Items:
Office Hours
- WMS office hours are from 6:45-3:00. Please understand that we are always open to hearing your questions or concerns, but we may not all be available during the school day. If you could please help us serve you better by calling us first to check if we are available. If we are not, we will make certain to make time to call you back and schedule a meeting. Thanks for helping us by working together!
