To Promote Equity in Mesquite ISD
February 2021

In honor of Black History Month, the Leadership and Empowerment Team (LET) of Mesquite ISD presents these resources not only for teachers to share in their classrooms but also to empower our staff as we continue the important work of equity. We curated this month's collection around the topics of Trailblazers, Community, Family, and Educational Achievement. Clicking on the cover image of each recommended book will take you to Goodreads so that you can read a summary, and we've also included the intended audience of each resource. (Picture Books are for all ages, and Middle Grade is considered for grades 5-8.)
