Bark Update
Our students are monitored online by a program called Bark. Parents are able to create a free account and receive updates regarding your student's online usage. With an account you will receive the same alerts that school administrators receive. Be on the lookout for an email from Bark and please take a few moments to sign up. These alerts can give a great look into how your student is using their online account.
PBIS Rewards
As a school we utilize PBIS Rewards as a mini economy and reward students throughout the day for positive behaviors they display. Students can bank these points and use them to purchase items from our school and individual teacher's stores. PBIS Rewards is also the platform we use for discipline referrals. 6th and 7th grade parents should have received an instructional email. 8th grade parents are the only ones left to load. Be on the lookout for an email to sign up for a PBIS account and you will be able to see your students points and any behavior referrals they receive from teachers or school administrators.
KINDness Recognition
Look who was caught being KIND this week! Darren moved seats so another student could plug in their device. He also helped that student get situated. Emery noticed her teacher picking up after class and offered to take over. She went above and beyond in helping. Look for a spot in your day where you can perform an act of kindness like these students!
Equity and Diversity Lessons - Mentor Period
This week during Mentor Period, Mr. Blickenstaff led the students through a Google Slide presentation focusing on equity and diversity and how those concepts impact our interactions with one another at CMS. If you want to learn along with the students, or are a student who missed one of those days you can check out those lessons with the links below.

Updates from the Cafeteria
To deposit money into your child's lunch account electronically visit myschoolbucks.com to create an online account. You can also download the mobile app. Students can bring in cash to lunch, but sometimes that money gets stuck in pockets instead of deposited with the cafeteria staff. Students may bring a lunch from home on any day they choose.
Click the boxes Below to submit a brag!
Is your student participating in something outside of school this summer where they have been honored/awarded (camp/4H/athletics/scholarship/community service)? We want to recognize those students who are engaged in service opportunities/extra curricular organizations outside of school and receive some mark of distinction. Use the Student Brag box below to let us know what to recognize your student for and send a photo to Mr. Blickenstaff via email!
Is there a teacher at CMS who went above and beyond recently? Use the Teacher Brag box to let us know what special thing that teacher did for your student, so that we can celebrate and recognize them!

CMS Student Handbook
The
Student Handbook provides a great deal of information about our schools. Once on the document, you can navigate to the middle school specific section. We ask all families to read the Student Handbook completely. If you have questions after reading the Handbook, please contact the main office.
