WISHING OUR STAFF A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Ms. Flint - Instructional Aide
Ms. Mankins - Kindergarten Teacher
Ms. Crusinberry - P.E. Teacher
Ms. Gorman - Instructional Aide
Hello, My name is Kellie Gorman and this is my first year as an Instructional Aide. My family and I have recently moved to Andover from Jackson Mississippi. My husband and I have two children together, Ethan (3rd grade) Josh (1st grade) and my step daughter Marlee (Freshman Highschool). We are a huge sports family with baseball being our top priority. When we have free time we love to travel, play games, camp, and swim. Currently we as a family have been to 35 of the States in hopes to reach all 50 before the kids graduate. I am very excited to work with your children this year and be a part of the AMAZING Meadowlark team.

Learning With Legos at Meadowlark
Second Child ½ price! Weekly ‘Things That Go’ Challenges!
Calling all builders, makers and creative kids! Enroll your child in after school Learning with Legos classes to enhance their creativity and building skills. Fun weekly challenges will encourage your young makers to work together to create a prototype, test it and problem solve any mistakes. Cars, planes, boats, oh my! Students will have fun completing challenges with a transportation/vehicle theme. Learn the science and history behind each machine in hands on lessons. Students can also look forward to re-creating their Lego ideas to take home with recyclables and “junk art” materials from our stash at The Art Park. *Please send a nut and peanut free snack with your child each week.
Meadowlark: Meets Mon 3:45-4:45 in room 221.
Dates Sept. 12, 19; Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24. Tuition is $125 for the six weeks. Geared for ages 1-5 gr. Second child is ½ price.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
Car Rider Process
For the safety of all our students, we ask that you follow the expectations listed below:
A.M. Drop Off:
Please make sure that your child is ready to hop out of the car once you enter the car rider line.
Pull up to cone number 1 or fill in the car line as closely as possible.
Do not exit your vehicle as staff will help your student exit the car on the passenger side only. Please make adjustments if car seats or other obstacles prevent this plan.
Students must exit vehicles as soon as your car reaches the sidewalk.
Cars arriving after 8:45 a.m. will need to pull to the front and check the child in through the office. Staff closes the back doors at 8:45 a.m. and students will not be able to enter those doors, so please don’t just drop them off.
P.M. Pick Up:
Please make sure to have your last name(s) posted in your vehicle for staff to record into our pick up system.
Once a staff member has entered your student’s name, please remain in that car lane. Switching lanes will not speed up the process and will interfere with the pick up of your child.
Do not exit your vehicle as staff will help your student enter the car on the passenger side only. Please make adjustments if car seats or other obstacles prevent this plan.
If your child needs assistance with buckling, pull around to the front of the building to assist them.
Any changes to a student’s “going home” plan needs to be communicated with the office & classroom teacher by 3:00 p.m. to ensure your child gets to the correct dismissal location.
Attendance Hours: 8:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
School begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3:45 p.m. Students should arrive no earlier than 8:30 a.m. All doors will remain locked until 8:35 and supervision can happen. There will be no direct supervision of students prior to 8:35 a.m., so for the safety and well being of your children, we ask that you make child care arrangements for your children. Neighbors or relatives may be able to watch your children before school, or the YMCA has a latchkey program at Meadowlark. Information about the program can be found at https://ymcawichita.org/programs/child-care-and-camps/before-and-after-school
Breakfast
Students who wish to eat breakfast at school may arrive as early as 8:15 a.m. and need to enter through the front entrance doors if it’s before 8:25 a.m.
Lunch Visitors
Due to our enrollment size and cafeteria capacity, we are not able to accommodate visitors during lunch. If you’d like to eat lunch with your child, you may check him or her out of the
building and eat off-site.
Late Arriving Students
Students who arrive after 8:45 a.m. can be dropped off in the main parking lot. For your
convenience, please feel free to call the main office at 316-218-4630 to check your child in.
