Week One is a Success!
GRADES 1-5:
Please remember: although we allowed parents to walk students to class on the first few days of school, we ask starting tomorrow that you say goodbye to your student at the gate. Our staff will be at the gate as well as on the playground and in the cafeteria. Please do not drop your students off before 7:30, as we don't open the gate before then.
Also, if you are driving through the pick-up area please remember to have your student's name displayed in your car window so we can more quickly get them to the pick up area.
If you or an older sibling are walking up to pick them up, please do NOT come to the front entrance of the school. You will please wait for your student on the grassy area on the west side of the campus.
Thank you for helping to make our drop off and pick up procedures safe and smooth.
A Message from PHES' School Nurse, Mrs. Staci. 🩺
PHES students will be running the Pacer Test in PE the week of August 30th. If your student has an inhaler, PLEASE SEND IT WITH THEM. I added the all caps because too often I see so many kiddos that run it and come to me panting, tight, wheezing and need their inhaler that undoubtedly is at home. Thanks so much!!

NOTICE OF HEARING SCREENINGS 🎧
Hearing screenings will begin shortly at Providence Hall as recommended by the Utah Department of Health to identify undetected, progressive, late-onset, and fluctuating hearing losses due to ear infections, loud noise exposure, or a variety of disorders. This screening is done yearly by the Speech-Language Department at the beginning of the school year and will involve all students in grades K, 3, 7, 11, all students receiving special education services, most students new to PH, and students considered at-risk. To opt-out of this year's hearing screening, or to request screening for additional students, please email your student's name and grade to jcollingridge@providencehall.com by August 22, 2021. Recommended health precautions specific to hearing screenings will be followed.
Speech and language therapy services are also available at Providence Hall for all students who qualify in grades K-12. If you have concerns about your student's communication skills, please contact Mrs. Collingridge, our speech-language pathologist, at jcollingridge@providencehall.com to discuss the concerns.
