I was now a minute man and me and my group walked north for about seven miles until we saw the British. I almost puked on the guy in front of me. The shooting started. I got shot through the arm. I retreated back to safety. Our captain shouted " retreat! " The battle had ended. I walked home. I yeld " Mom! " but no one answered. I walked into the house and no one was there. I saw a note on the table in German writing. I assumed my Mom was captured. I fell to my knees and started crying. I grabbed my musket and ran out the door. I followed the footprints for about nine miles until I got there. I hid behind a tree. I saw my Mom yelling for help. I snuck into the base and hit the hostage keeper in the back of the head and grabbed his keys and freed my Mom. I fought my way out of there with my Mom. Free at last.
