Mark Your Calendar:

May 4: Field Trip to 4H. This will be an extended day. We will leave a little after 8:00 and return around 5:00 that afternoon. If your child typically rides the bus home in the afternoon, please make arrangements to pick them up around 5:00 on this day. Lunch and a snack and sunscreen will be provided for students on this day. Students may want to bring a water bottle, sunglasses and a hat. No electronics or cameras are allowed.

May 5: Career Dress Up Day! Students may dress up like the career they hope to have as an adult.

May 12: Track and Field Day! Events will start at 8:30. Lunch will be from 12:00-1:30. If your child plans to go to lunch with someone other than his/her parents, please send a note giving permission for them to leave with that parent. Kona Ice will be here starting at 1:30 and will sell snow-cones. Prices for snow-cones are $2.00 and up. Students may bring a towel, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and cash for Kona Ice.

May 19-20: Half Price Book Fair in the Library

May 20: Stagecoach Talent Show at 8:30 and Early Dismissal at 2:00 due to Cabot High School Graduation.

May 23: Fourth Grade Graduation at 9:00 in the cafeteria with our Author Fair immediately following.

May 24: End of the Year Celebration (hot dog lunch and Kona Ice will be provided) and Early Dismissal at 2:00.

May 25: Last Day of School and 2:00 Dismissal

Our Learning:

  • Spelling: We will begin working on new words this week. Students were given a copy to practice at home to prepare for our test on Friday.

  • Literacy: Students are researching about their favorite author in preparation for our upcoming Author Fair, which will be on the same day as Fourth Grade Graduation on May 23.

  • Math: We are studying geometry. Students are encouraged to work on Front Row to practice Geometry and Measurement. See the link below.
