When You Meet God, Ask This Question - Scripture Readings - September 25, 2022
Let's say one day you're snacking at the food court or just relaxing at the spray park and God sits down beside you with a Loaded New York Fries and asks you to ask him one question that would help you to get to know God better. If you really want to get to know what God cares about, read all four of the Bible passages for this Sunday. Or, watch this video and listen to all four and tell me - What do you think God cares about most?
Principal's Message
Another great week at MCHS. A huge shout out and thank you to our parent community who stepped up and helped out at the crosswalk in the morning to help keep our students safe. Our entire staff feels blessed to be part of such a close school community. Last Tuesday we had our first Parent Council meeting of the school year. We had an excellent turnout and are looking forward to more collaborative conversation in our October meeting.
Our annual hiking trip to the Rocky Mountains went off without a hitch. The weather was fantastic and the views looked amazing. Thanks to Mr Boutestein, Mrs. Stafford and Mr. Coxen for taking the time to go with the students and make some memories.
Please take time to sign up for parent teacher interviews on the new booking site. Each time slot is scheduled for 10 minutes so please be cognizant while speaking to your son/daughter's teacher.
Have a great week, and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.
Damon Clayton, Principal

SCHOOL COUNCIL PD SESSION: SCHOOL COUNCIL PURPOSE
Understanding the advisory role of school councils through a review of the legislation, exploring rights, responsibilities and choices including which topics/areas are open for discussion helps to guide school council and its work in the school community. Learning how to identify the work of school councils, how to frame a “personal issue” from a school council perspective and how to broach sensitive topics is essential for new and returning members.
