About the Author
Roald Dahl was born in Wales of Norwegian parents.He was educated in England before starting work for the Shell Oil Company in Africa.He began writing after a ´monumental bash on the head´sustained as an RAF fighter pilot during the Second World War.He was one of the mosst successful and well-known of all children´s writers.He died in November 1990 at the age of seventy-four.

Matilda
She is a five years old child who lives with her parents and brother in a big house which is situated in a small village of England. She is sensitive and really brilliant. For example by the age of three she had taught herself to read by reading newspapers.
Mr. Wormwood
Matilda´s father was a successful dealer in second-hand cars but he get money in a dishonest way. Furthermore he thought that Matilda was an ignorant little twit.
Mrs. Wormwood
Matilda´s mother is addicted to playing bingo and watching America soap-opera. As her husband, she didn´t care Matilda al all.
Miss Honey
Matilda´s teacher was a charming and mild person who possessed that rare gift for being adored by every small child under her care.
Miss Trunchbull
She was the Headmistress of the school.She was a gigantic monster who was always barking and shouting so all the teachers and pupils were frightened of her.

Plot
The story is about the relationship between Matilda and Miss Honey, her teacher. Matilda was a little genius she was ignoring by her rude parents. Fortunately Miss Honey realised of that at once and decide to help her. In the meantime,Matilda found out the sad childhood of her teacher who had been bringing up by the horrible Headmistress as her slave when her father passed away. Matilda managed that Miss Trunchbull vanished from the village by using her powerful mind and Miss Honey could come back to her parents house.Finally Matilda went to live with Miss Honey when her family had to abandone the country because of her father dirty business.

Opinion
In my opinion it is a highly entertaining read this amusing book that can be read for all ages people.I´m sure you will enjoy it from the begining to the ending.
I think the main idea of the story is that you have to do things in your own way to achieve great things.
Definitely I think it´s well worth reading it.
