Daily STEAM & Wellness Challenges
Wellness: no technology
Dance It Out: Pick a favorite song and create an original dance on your own or with a family member.
TinkerCAD - Are you interested in designing objects to be 3D-printed? Use TinkerCad to design whatever comes to your mind as you explore coding, electronics, free building, and more. 4th and 5th graders - most of you received your login prior to last Friday. If you cannot remember it, or you did not receive it, email Mrs. Ballou (firstname.lastname@example.org) to get your login “nickname”. Remember you must access the login link through our 4th or 5th grade STEAM Google Classroom in order to be signed into your account.
A Day at the Park - The day you have been waiting for has finally come! You and your friends are going to the amusement park for a fun filled day of rides, food, and shopping. Now all you need to do is count your money and make a budget to spend your stash.
Can you design and build a simple Rube Goldberg machine to close your bedroom door? Use simple items around your house to create a chain reaction. Don’t forget engineers always draw and label their plan before building. Need help? google Rube Goldberg Projects to find ideas or look at these sites Tinker Lab or WikiHow
Minute to Win It Family Challenges:
Start a game show with your own family! Minute to Win It is a game where contestants take part in a series of 60-second challenges that use objects that are available around your house. So grab your family, have fun together, and maybe keep score throughout the week!
Whippersnapper - Grab a bath towel, ping pong ball, bucket (or small trash can), and tape. Tape one end of the towel to the floor and try to launch the ping pong into the bucket that is sitting 15 feet away.
