Glacier Ridge Elementary School 01.08.21
Dear Glacier Ridge Families,
We are happy to be welcoming you all back to a new year! Here's hoping that 2021 will prove to be fantastic.
We are excited to begin in person learning for K-2 students beginning Monday. We will be following the same routines as we did in the fall. This information will be shared once again with you in a separate communication. Please know that students will be taking breaks outside (weather permitting) and they will not need snowpants as we will not be playing in the snow.
Beginning Monday we will once again have replacement Chromebooks in the office. Should you have any issues with the device please contact us directly for support.
This Saturday GRS is hosting the National Blue Blood drive. We encourage you all to sign up for this worthy cause by following the link below.
Have a great weekend!

Return to Learn Procedures for our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Graders
Also, for those parents who are picking up their children by car, please remember those brightly colored car tags in your passenger window. That will really help expedite the process for everyone.
What Should Your Student Bring Back to School?

Glacier Ridge is Heart Healthy
Glacier Ridge School is celebrating it's 20th year participating in the Kids Heart
Challenge! This year all Glacier Ridge students will be participating in cardiovascular
activities during Remote P.E. classes the week of February 1st. Students will
participate in a variety of games and activities to make their hearts stronger through
exercise. At this time students will also have the option of collecting donations for the
American Heart Association. The money Glacier Ridge collects will help fund
potentially life saving research into heart and blood vessel diseases. Glacier Ridge
can also earn certificates from the AHA to purchase new P.E. equipment. To register
your child (it’s free) and for more information visit our Glacier Ridge team page.
Erin's Law
In response to the state mandate of educating students about Erin’s Law, District 47 will again host the Be Seen and Heard© 2.0 program, a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse awareness program for students in grades K-8. The program is designed to create an age-appropriate, safe and engaging environment where students will learn about the difference between safe and unsafe touch, and the importance of having a trusted hero, someone a child trusts and can turn to for help. The presentation will be delivered to students in January 2021.
