3rd Grade Spelling Bee

Congratulations to my 3rd grade friends who participated in the spelling bee this week. I am so proud of all of you for your hard work and confidence! A special round of applause to our top three spellers!

We Get to Buy a Llama!

Our 5th grade students and Sra. Schmidt worked hard this week, making and selling friendship bracelets. Their efforts raised $200. Thank you to all of you who participated in this initiative. We have successfully raised enough money to buy a llama for a family in Peru thanks to Heifer International. Great work kiddos!

The Josh and Gab Show

Josh and Gab visited JES on Friday and put on another great show for our kiddos. Their message about bullying is a powerful one. The children, danced, sang, and had excellent comments and questions four our guests!

Join us for a JES Movie Night on Friday, March 4 at 6:30 PM. We’ll turn the JES Auditorium into our very own movie theater for a showing of “Inside Out.” Kids can even wear their pajamas! Admission is FREE. Snack foods and drinks will be sold. Don’t miss the fun!

Shopper Rewards- Box Tops

Box Top collection sheets were sent home last week. The class that turns in the most Box Tops will win a special prize. Box Tops are an easy way for JES to earn money for assemblies. This month, Pittsburgh CLO will be performing "The Incredibly Innovative Inventors of Pittsburgh" which was paid for by your generous Box Top donations. Thank you!

Juvenile Protection – Drop -Off Reminder

The JES Green Zone helps keep our kids safe at drop-off. The green line begins up by the front doors of the school and ends almost down by the employee parking lot/lower drive. Please utilize the entire length of the Green Zone. Children should exit the vehicle if it is at a complete stop anywhere within the green line. Thank you.
